Due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in hospital and in the community, the decision has been made to temporarily suspend visits to all hospitals with immediate effect, Hywel Dda health council announced tonight. (October 27).
Visits will only be permitted with prior agreement in extenuating circumstances, such as end of life and critical visits.
The restrictions introduced today do not affect the current visiting arrangements within our maternity wards.
All visitors should complete a home lateral flow device (LFD) test before going to the hospital.

“When you visit our hospitals, remember to wear a face cover, it will be replaced by a surgical mask at the reception or at the entrance to the department,” said a spokesperson for the Health Board.
