Here is more information about Terrifying 2:
From the writer/director Damien Leon (Toussaint), the highly anticipated sequel to the cult slasher film, welcomes back David Howard Thorton as the demonic killer, Art the Clown. Terrifying 2 also presents Lauren LaVera like Sienna, who will instantly become a fan favorite. The return is also Samantha Scaffidi who will reprise her role as Victoria Heyes. Horror icon Felisse Rose (overnight camp) also makes an appearance.
Terrifying 2 brought Art the Clown back to his old tricks. After his gruesome death in the first film, a sinister presence brought Art back to life to quell the terror on the people of Miles County. On Halloween night, he returns to the unpretentious town and sets his sights on a new prey: a teenage girl and her little brother, played by LaVera and Elliott Fullamrespectively.
The film marks Art the Clown’s fifth screen appearance. Originally created for a pair of budget shorts, the character debuted in Leone’s hit feature film in 2013 Toussaint. His iconic look, along with the personality and humor he exudes, forever changed the way we view killer clowns. The sadistic clown has become a cult horror icon with various pop culture merchandise companies selling masks, costumes, enamel pins, air fresheners, figurines and even ugly Christmas sweaters.
“Like our incredible fanbase, Bloody Disgusting immediately recognized the franchise potential of the film and recognized Art the Clown as a new and formidable presence in the genre,” said director Damien Leone. “It was heartening to find the perfect home for our utterly insane, limitless horror film after three arduous years of production, a global pandemic and endless gallons of blood.
“Our goal was to create a horror film that pushes the envelope, fresh but old-school and demented as hell,” Leone adds. “You know…a movie you can take the kids to!” We are thrilled to finally answer that once dreaded question… “So when does Terrifying 2 go out?!”
“The creepy epitomizes everything great about iconic 80s and 90s slasher movies,” Bloody Disgusting and SCREAMBOX General Manager Brad Miska. “It’s nostalgic, it’s dark, it’s gory, so it’s no wonder the film, and Art the Clown in particular, has become a staple for horror and Halloween fans. fans are unprepared for what they are about to experience.
